2014 ICONS OF FOAM TRIBUTE TO THE MASTERS HONORING BEN AIPA AND PRESENTED BY US BLANKS

SATURDAY & SUNDAY, MAY 17 & 18, 2014 - It was a tremendous honor participating in the Ben Aipa tribute in Del Mar, CA. Taking an hour and a half replicating a classic Aipa Sting, made back in 1974 specifically for the legendary Buttons Kaluhiokalani, was no easy task. Winning the event was priceless.

2015 ICONS OF FOAM TRIBUTE TO THE MASTERS HONORING RUSTY PREISENDORFER

In 2014 I was invited to compete in the Icons of Foam challenge honoring Ben Aipa... I won. I successfully defended that title in May, 2015, this time honoring Rusty Preisendorfer and shaping a model he built for Mark Occhilupo back in the 80's.  The six competing shapers honoring "Rusty" were all from California:

• Ward Coffey (Santa Cruz)

• Tim Stamps (Seal Beach)

• Chris Christenson (Cardiff-by-the-Sea)

• Dave Parmenter (San Luis Obispo)
